Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakti story (no spoilers)
Major Hanut Singh, an NSG commando still carrying the scars of an earlier mission, finds himself at the centre of a temple siege in Gujarat. When terrorists take over the shrine and demand the release of a jailed militant, Hanut defies direct orders and chooses to lead a high-risk operation against them. As the standoff intensifies, he must also confront the personal demons that have haunted him since his past failure. The film is a Hindi action drama that mixes tactical tension with a character study of a soldier under pressure, running just over an hour and forty minutes.
Should you watch Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakti?
Watch it for
- Akshaye Khanna headlines as Major Hanut Singh, a commando role that puts him at the centre of the siege drama.
- Director Ken Ghosh (known for his earlier thrillers) handles a cast that includes Gautam Rode, Vivek Dahiya, Abhimanyu Singh and Samir Soni.
- The Gujarat temple siege premise gives the action a contained, high-stakes setting rather than a sprawling war canvas.
- At 106 minutes, it is a compact action drama that gets to the point without an overlong runtime.
Skip it if
- You prefer action films with large-scale battle sequences; this one is built around a single siege location.
- You want a pure thriller without the personal-demons subplot that runs alongside the operation.
- You are looking for a light watch; the premise involves terrorism, hostage crisis and military conflict.

Our verdict
Akshardham: Operation Vajra Shakti is a straightforward Hindi action drama that leans on Akshaye Khanna's Major Hanut Singh and a tense temple-siege setup. At 106 minutes it does not overstay its welcome, though the personal-demons angle may feel familiar to genre regulars. It is a decent pick for a compact, cast-driven action watch rather than a spectacle.
