Bodyguard story (no spoilers)
Lovely Singh is a devoted bodyguard assigned to protect Divya, the daughter of his respected employer Mr Rana. Divya is not thrilled about having a constant shadow, so she invents a secret admirer to distract her protector. Lovely, who has never met this imaginary girl, falls deeply in love with her. The situation becomes complicated because the girl he loves is actually Divya herself. The film mixes action, romance and drama as Lovely tries to navigate his feelings while carrying out his duty. Salman Khan plays the earnest Lovely, Kareena Kapoor Khan plays Divya, and Siddique directs this 134-minute Hindi film.
Should you watch Bodyguard?
Watch it for
- Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan share the screen as Lovely and Divya, a pairing that drives the film's romance and drama.
- Director Siddique blends action, romance and drama in a 134-minute runtime, so the story moves at a brisk pace.
- The music by Himesh Reshammiya and Pritam Chakraborty adds to the romantic and dramatic moments.

Our verdict
Bodyguard is a typical Salman Khan entertainer that leans on his star persona and the chemistry with Kareena Kapoor Khan. The secret admirer twist adds some fun, but the 5.2/10 rating suggests it may not win over viewers looking for a fresh story. It works best as a casual watch for fans of the leads.
