Watch it for

- Bhushaan Manoj plays Anand and Suraaj Suman plays Balya, the local farmer whose struggle to stay unmarried drives the central bond.

Our verdict
Cactus Pears is a small, specific Marathi drama that uses a 10-day mourning period to look at how quickly a bond can form and how hard it is to leave it behind. Rohan Kanawade keeps the focus on Anand and Balya, with Bhushaan Manoj and Suraaj Suman carrying the quiet tension. It is not a loud film, but the 114-minute runtime and the A certificate signal that it is aimed at patient adult viewers.
