Our verdict
Devara: Part 1 delivers a long, intense village-crime saga with N.T. Rama Rao Jr. in a dual role and Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist. Koratala Siva directs a 178-minute action drama that sets up a franchise, so expect an incomplete story. It is a solid pick for fans of Telugu mass action, but the runtime and Part 1 structure may test others.
