Jaadugar story (no spoilers)
Jaadugar is a Hindi comedy-drama-romance about Meenu Narang, a small-time magician who has no interest in football. To marry the love of his life, Dr. Disha Chhabra, he must lead his local football team to the finals of a tournament. The film follows Meenu as he reluctantly takes on this challenge, balancing his passion for magic with the demands of coaching a team he knows little about. Along the way, he interacts with his father Pradeep Narang, his mentor Jaadugar Chhabra, and other local characters like Iccha, Ikrar, and Lalli. The tone blends light-hearted comedy with heartfelt drama and romance, as Meenu navigates relationships and personal growth while chasing an unlikely goal. Directed by Sameer Saxena, the film runs 167 minutes and features music by Nilotpal Bora. It released on Netflix in India on 15 July 2022.

Our verdict
Jaadugar is a charming, if overlong, comedy-drama that leans on Jitendra Kumar's likable performance and its quirky small-town setting. The mix of magic and football gives it a distinct flavor, though the 167-minute runtime may test some viewers. It's a decent one-time watch for those who enjoy gentle humor and heartfelt stories.
