Lucia story (no spoilers)
Nikki, played by Sathish Ninasam, is a man who cannot sleep. His insomnia leads him to a drug called Lucia, sold to him by Shankranna (Achyuth Kumar). The drug makes his desires come true in his dreams, and soon the line between his waking life and his dream world begins to blur. As Nikki spends more time under Lucia's influence, the fantasy and reality start to collide, pulling him into a conflict that is part romance, part thriller, and part fantasy. The film, directed by Pawan Kumar, keeps the tone grounded even as the story moves between dream and waking life, with Sruthi Hariharan as Shwetha and Hardika Shetty as Kamini caught in the mix. At 136 minutes, it builds its mystery without spelling everything out, leaving you to piece together what is real for Nikki and what is only a dream.

Our verdict
Lucia is a smart, compact Kannada film that uses a drug-induced dream premise to explore desire and reality without losing its footing. Pawan Kumar keeps the tone steady, and Sathish Ninasam anchors the confusion well. It is not for viewers who want clear-cut answers, but if you like films that make you work a little, it is worth your time.
