Mehbooba story (no spoilers)

Karan, a Rajasthan-born man living in Budapest, has dreamed of a beautiful girl for over eight years. When he finally meets her in the form of Varsha, the foster daughter of his lawyer Sahid, he is certain Sahid will persuade her to marry him. But Varsha refuses, and she harbors a deep hatred for men. Unbeknownst to Karan, she also leads a parallel life in New York as Payal Mehra. This Hindi drama-romance, directed by Afzal Khan, sets up a clash between Karan's long-held fantasy and Varsha's guarded reality, with the added complication of her dual identity.

Our verdict

Mehbooba pairs Ajay Devgn and Manisha Koirala in a story about a man whose dream girl turns out to be far more complicated than he imagined. The dual role and the Budapest-New York setting add some flavor, but the 171-minute runtime demands patience. It is a decent pick if you like old-school Hindi romances with a twist.
