Pyaar Prema Kalyanam story (no spoilers)
Pyaar Prema Kalyanam is a Tamil romance-comedy-drama releasing on 21 August 2026. The story begins with a wedding, but the real trouble starts after the ceremony: Pavithra, played by Saanve Megghana, refuses to leave her family home and move in with her new husband. Her husband, Elan (played by Elan), is left in an awkward position, trying to figure out whether he can adjust to living under his in-laws' roof. The film follows his attempts to navigate life with his wife's family, including her parents Chandra Rani (Radhika Sarathkumar) and Rajasekar (M. S. Bhaskar), while his own relatives, like Nirmala (Geetha Kailasam) and Srinivasan (Elango Kumaravel), add to the mix. With a runtime of 127 minutes and a U/A 13+ certificate, the tone is light and humorous, leaning on the comedy of a joint family setup and the compromises of a new marriage. The music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and the film is directed by Elan. It will stream on Netflix in India from the same day as its release.
