Solo story (no spoilers)
Gautham (Nara Rohith) is an orphan who has always dreamed of marrying into a joint family so he can experience the warmth of relatives and elders. He falls for Vaishnavi (Nisha Agarwal), a woman who comes from exactly that kind of close-knit household and shares a particularly strong bond with her father, Raghupathi Naidu (Prakash Raj). Gautham sets out to win her over, and eventually Vaishnavi falls for him too. But when Raghupathi Naidu learns about their relationship, he disapproves, because he has always wanted his daughter to marry someone from a good family. He arranges an alliance with another man, leaving Gautham and Vaishnavi to face the consequences. Solo is a Telugu romance drama that mixes lighthearted pursuit with family tensions, running 150 minutes.
Should you watch Solo?
Watch it for
- Nara Rohith and Nisha Agarwal lead a romance built around the idea of a joint family, with Prakash Raj as Vaishnavi's father Raghupathi Naidu anchoring the emotional conflict.
- Director Parasuram Petla tells a story that balances Gautham's attempts to woo Vaishnavi with the family drama that erupts once her father finds out.
- Mani Sharma's music score supports the romance and drama, and the 150-minute runtime gives the relationship and family dynamics room to develop.
- The film is a straightforward Telugu romance-drama, so if you enjoy stories about love versus family approval, this fits that mold.
Skip it if
- You prefer fast-paced action or thrillers; Solo is a romance drama that spends much of its time on courtship and family conversations.
- You are not interested in joint-family dynamics or father-daughter conflict as the central plot engine.
- You want a shorter movie; at 150 minutes, it asks for a longer sit.

Our verdict
Solo is a sincere Telugu romance that uses the joint-family setup to create both warmth and conflict. Nara Rohith and Nisha Agarwal carry the love story, while Prakash Raj gives the father figure real weight. It is not a reinvention of the genre, but it delivers the emotional beats romance fans look for.
