Sookshmadarshini story (no spoilers)
Sookshmadarshini is a Malayalam mystery thriller with a comic edge. Manuel (Basil Joseph) moves back with his mother to their old home in a middle-class neighbourhood. Priyadarshini (Nazriya Nazim) and her friends grow suspicious of his intentions and start gathering clues, convinced he is hiding something sinister. The film follows their amateur investigation as they piece together odd details about Manuel, balancing curiosity with neighbourly nosiness. The tone mixes light comedy with mounting tension as the women's sleuthing leads them deeper into uncertainty. Directed by MC Jithin, the 142-minute film released in theatres on 22 November 2024 and carries a UA certificate. It is a character-driven mystery where the conflict comes from suspicion and small-town observation rather than action set pieces.

Our verdict
Sookshmadarshini works as a light-footed mystery thriller, with Nazriya Nazim and Basil Joseph anchoring a story about neighbours who suspect the worst. The comedy keeps the tone from getting too heavy, though the 142-minute runtime asks for patience. It is a decent pick if you like clue-driven suspense with a dose of humour.
