Talvar story (no spoilers)
Talvar is a 2015 Hindi thriller-drama directed by Meghna Gulzar, based on a brutal double murder case. The story follows hardened cop Ashwin Kumar (Irrfan Khan) as he investigates the killings, where the prime suspects are the teenage girl's parents, Ramesh and Nutan Tandon (Neeraj Kabi and Konkona Sen Sharma). The case is complicated by three conflicting perspectives, forcing Kumar to navigate contradictory evidence and shifting narratives. The film explores the tension between truth and perception, with a tone that is serious and investigative, blending mystery with procedural drama. As the investigation unfolds, the film examines how different stakeholders view the same events, leading to a complex portrait of a family under suspicion and a system under pressure. The narrative stays grounded in the details of the case, avoiding easy answers and keeping the focus on the human cost of a sensational crime.
