Illegal story (no spoilers)
Illegal is a Hindi legal drama set in the high-stakes world of a high-end law firm where billable hours often matter more than justice. The series follows Niharika Singh, known as the 'Mad Lawyer', who fights tooth and nail for justice even if it means standing up against her own firm and the hotshot lawyer Janardhan Jaitley. Created by Sahir Raza and Samar Khan, the show delves into the lesser-known world of corporate law, where lawyers are seldom on the right side of the law. Across three seasons, the conflict between personal ethics and professional ambition drives the narrative, with a tone that is racy and suspenseful. The first season premiered on 12 May 2020 with 10 episodes, the second on 25 November 2021 with 8 episodes, and the third on 27 May 2024 with 8 episodes. The series ended on 27 May 2024 and is available in Hindi with a U/A 16+ certificate.
