Thudakkam story (no spoilers)
Thudakkam is a Malayalam action drama centred on Meenu, a young woman played by Vismaya Mohanlal. When danger strikes, she is forced to fight for her survival, drawing on courage and determination rather than waiting to be rescued. The film sets her against a world of threat, with a supporting cast that includes Saikumar as Ravi, Mohanlal as Master, Aashish Joe Antony as Jeethu, Gibin Gopinath as CPO Baiju Dev, Bobby Kurian as Esthappan, Kottayam Ramesh as Joseph, and Jaya Kurup as Joseph's wife. Directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, the film blends action with drama, so the tension is grounded in character rather than non-stop spectacle. The tone is serious and survival-driven, with Jakes Bejoy providing the music. At 137 minutes, it is a compact, single-language Malayalam release, certified U/A 16+ in India. The story keeps its focus on Meenu's ordeal and the people around her, without spelling out exactly how the danger unfolds.

Our verdict
Thudakkam is a straightforward Malayalam survival action drama, with Vismaya Mohanlal as Meenu and Jude Anthany Joseph directing. The 137-minute runtime and U/A 16+ certificate suggest a serious, tense watch rather than a family outing. If you like grounded action with a young woman at the centre, it is worth a look when it arrives.
