Our verdict
Devdas is a grand, tragic romance anchored by Shah Rukh Khan's portrayal of self-destruction and Madhuri Dixit's Chandramukhi. Bhansali's direction and the music create a lush, melancholic atmosphere. At 185 minutes, it's a commitment, but fans of classic Hindi drama will find it rewarding.
