Our verdict
Gangubai Kathiawadi is a gritty crime drama powered by Alia Bhatt's central performance and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's distinctive direction. The 157-minute runtime allows for a detailed portrayal of Gangubai's transformation, though the intense subject matter may not suit all viewers. It's a solid watch for those drawn to underworld sagas and complex female leads.
