Kanguva story (no spoilers)
Kanguva follows Francis Theodore, a present-day bounty hunter whose life changes when fate brings him together with a mutant kid. Through this encounter, he learns about his previous life as Kanguva, a mighty warrior. The film moves between the present-day hunt and the warrior's past, setting up a conflict that ties the two eras together. Suriya plays both Kanguva and Francis Theodore, while Bobby Deol appears as Udhiran and Disha Patani as Angelina. Directed by Siva with music by Devi Sri Prasad, the 154-minute film blends action, thriller and fantasy elements under the tagline 'A Mighty Valiant Saga'. The tone is dramatic and battle-driven, with the present-day bounty hunter storyline feeding into the larger warrior saga.

Our verdict
Kanguva gives Suriya a double role as Francis Theodore and the warrior Kanguva, with Bobby Deol as Udhiran and Disha Patani as Angelina. Siva directs a 154-minute action-thriller-fantasy that connects a present-day bounty hunter to his past life after he meets a mutant kid. It is a long, battle-driven watch rather than a quick action fix.
